Friends of all kinds can be made when you canvass!

Awesome conversations canvassing in West Jefferson place in Ward 3 today. Got to visit with Don and his wife Ellen, see the farm they’ve lived at for 2 decades, meet their 15+ chickens, hear about Don’s service in the 1960s (he’s a veteran), and buy some fresh eggs. Talk about one-stop shopping! Ward 3 is pretty amazing. Meeting new people and learning about their lives is arguably my favorite part of my job—getting to know neighbors from all walks of life, and sometimes, when I’m lucky, I get to meet their friends as well, or in this case, their wonderful chickens. :)
